Brand Focus: Maybelline

As you can see by the title, This blog post is going to be about Maybelline Makeup products, Maybelline is probably one of my three favourite drugstore makeup brands, I have tried and tested quite a lot of their products and I am going to tell you a bit about each one and what I think of them and If you should try it or avoid it! Enjoy lovelies!

Firstly I thought I'd start by saying, my favourite products from Maybelline are the mascara's they are all amazing and add length and volume to my lashes, they work wonders on my naturally tiny, short eye lashes.

Brow drama - probably my least favourite product in this brand focus, I love filling in my eye brows, but always feel like this is too dark for me despite it being in dark blond I feel it makes my brows too thick and I find the product sometimes clumped or didn't spread evenly through my eyebrows, this may be because the colour is n't a good enough match for me but I feel like with this they look a bit 'slug like' if I put this brow mascara through my eyebrows.

Summer Wishlist - River Island

As the weather is getting warmer recently I thought I would make a wishlist post, these are all on my fashion wishlist for this summer. They are all from the shop River Island, which is a popular high street store in England. I am obsessed with their pieces recently and they have something for everyone so whatever your style they more than likely have it!

1. Red Floral Printed Maxi Dress - Link
Firstly I thought I would start with this gorgeous item, I think this red dress would look perfect in the summer when I'm on holiday and would really complement a tan, although it would equally look gorgeous on pale skin too! I love these sort of dresses as they can last such a long time and you could probably still be wearing this years later, I think it's a perfect day/night dress and I love how elegant and classy maxi dresses look!

A Small Duty Free Haul

Since I have been inactive making blog posts in over a week, I thought I would show you all what I picked up in duty free when I went on holiday to Barbados. I love airports and one of my favourite things to do is take my time lusting around all the makeup counters in the duty free shopping department.

I only picked up these two items but will tell you a bit about them and what I think of them so far!

The first is the Nude Tude Eyeshadow palette from TheBalm I have really been umming and ahhing over buying this palette but when it was only £21 including a free eye shadow primer sample I could not resist it. It has 12 beautiful shades, and what caught my eye was that they were all very different to my usual neutral eye shadow colours, I love that it has a white for highlighting and I am loving the pinky toned shades, I feel like the six left shadows seem to be more daytime shades and the other six on the left are more for night time eyeshadow looks. But I will be creating different eye shadow looks and putting this to the test. But so far I love it, have used it a few times already!

My Rimmel London Kate Moss Lipsticks and Thoughts

Rimmel Lipsticks are always ones I reach for on a regular basis, there are so many shades, and choices of colours in the Rimmel stands in Boots and Superdrug and these are all shades I have gravitated towards so I thought I would do a blog post about them and maybe tempt a few of you to try them out too!

My Favourite Body Mists/Sprays for Summer -For under £10

1. Avon Sunshine Kiss Eau De Toilette
The first one I am going to mention is this lovely Avon spray which reminds me of sunshine and the beach it smells really fresh and fruity but I can't work out what fruit smells like. It is great as it lasts ages on my skin, longer than the other two body mists, and it is a happy scent, the smell makes me happy, mainly because it smells like summer to me and I always get asked what perfume it is, I only need to spray it twice and the scent lasts all day, which I love! It is usually £10.50 but I always find it's on offer so it's technically still under £10 right?!

2.Soap and Glory Mist you Madly
Ahh I just love this spray! As a Soap and Glory Obsessed girlie I have tried a lot of there products but this is in my top 5, it is also a perfect travel size, (they also do a larger bottle) although I can go through it very quickly if I don't stop myself! I find I can usually only smell it for a while and then I can't smell it and just keep spraying it on haha! This is described as 'floral and flirty' and I do agree with that claim it does smell 'flirty' I can't explain it very well so if you like the sound of it so far I suggest you to go to your nearest Boots store if you're from the UK, and test it out! It also reminds me of high school/secondary school, because me and my group of friends adored this scent it was like our signature perfume/mist we all had in our school bags, I think this is also why I love it because it's nice to reminisce about my high school days and the friendships I made back then. This usually retails for around £4, and it is perfect for popping in my bag an everyday essential.

3. The Body Shop Vanilla Body Mist
Lastly the third out of my three favourite body mists/sprays for Summer is this vanilla Spray from the body shop. This one is around £7 and I decided to try this after using a Natural collection vanilla body mist as I wanted something that would be long wearing but also the bottle would last me a while too, so I wouldn't have to keep repurchasing it as often as that teeny tiny vanilla spray from natural collection. It is more like a perfume I would say which is good meaning is lasts a lot longer than the others I had tried from other shops. The last bottle I had of this lasted a long time for me even with frequent use of the spray, and I recently purchased this new one around a month ago and have been using it almost every day. So it's good value for money.

Review of the Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 Palette

Today's post is all about a palette I have been loving from Superdrug which comes to the total of £4! Yeah, you heard that right!

I have always loved my Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette but when they bought out the Naked 3 which is all pinkish toned eye shadows I was a bit dubious to try it after never venturing out into trying pinky colours on my eyes, as I had always stuck to neutral colours as I thought they looked really elegant on my blue eyes, and I wasn't sure if pinks would suit me. but this little £4 palette has changed my mind!

Variety of shades: This palette offers 12 beautiful pinky coppery colours but has two or three darker purple-y-taupe shades, There are a mixture of shimmery glittery colours and mattes so you have everything you need in one palette to make lots of different pinky eye shadow looks anywhere you like!

How I Remove My Makeup And The Products I Use

So here comes a post about my makeup removing routine, I basically use these three products to remove my makeup. They are what I find works best for me and my skin which is combination, but can be quite sensitive to some products but I thought this would be interesting as everyone's makeup removing method is different!
